Skywatch Friday No. 22

When I was younger I always wanted to climb up the oak tree. My grandpa wouldn't let us kids climb it, he was afraid we would fall and get hurt.
I felt jealous of the squirrels that got to climb clear to the tippy top of the tree. I would watch them playing up there having so much fun.

Now that I look at how big the tree is, I know grandpa was right. The tree is for the squirrels and not for me to climb.

Please go visit the other great Skywatch participants at SkyWacth Friday There are wonderful photos from all around the world!

Wow - these are gorgeous! Love the colours and the way it's peaking thru the tree branches.

The sky is pastel-gorgeous!

I envy the squirrels too--their freedom--as they scamper all over the houses, fences, trees, etc., running, jumping, doing somersaults at times! :)

Pretty pictures. Bet you're glad you stayed out of the tree now after thinking it over as an adult.

Parents (and grandparents) can be that way. Sometimes I'm amazed I survived childhood (and especially my teens). Trees have a special fascination. We have lots of trees in Coastal BC, but no oaks with their broad branches perfect for climbing. I invite you to come see my sunset, but you'll have to wait until the morning. -- Margy

I really like the colors of the sky in your photos. I've never climbed a tree and I'm too old to try now. :-)

Halllo Cactus Jack Splash, thank you for your visit in Vienna.
Look, you've got friends in Vienna, and see what they are doing when they are bored:

Ever tried that?

BTW, I climbed the trees when I was a child, chestnut trees and cherry trees because they were the only ones on which I could climb without help or a ladder. I never fell down, but my mother was worried all the time :)
Your skies are wonderful! Happy SWF!

Love how the shapes of the tree branches segment the gorgeous colours of the sky into interesting mini pictures!
