Sky Watch Friday No. 27

These aren't quite as nice as I wish they could be. I was trying to capture the ice on the leaves this evening. You can hear the ice and the tree having a conversation as things crackle back and forth.

My uncle jokes that the oak is always shedding leaves...the tree that keeps on giving. It seems that year round the ancient tree drops leaves from the fall, often finishing up just in time to start dropping leaves for the following fall.
Please go visit the other great Skywatch participants at SkyWacth Friday There are wonderful photos from all around the world!Enjoy your day and don't forget to hug your DOR

Didn't you just get a new camera, or am I confused? Does it have a Macro button? That's what you need to catch really tight shots like that.

No I didn't get a new camera recently, but I need to. Hank the Tank decided that he should take my camera and try to eat it, so it has been acting up a bit.

Ooh, an excuse to shop! I must say, I'm having fun with my new one and I haven't even really started to play with the features.

I like your icy leaves. I was in high school before I noticed that oaks didn't lose their leaves in the fall, and I always lived around them. Since I noticed that,I've been aware of other trees. Some cottonwoods (not all) where we live do the same thing.

It's nice to see the leaves on the trees even if they are iced over. That gives them a beauty of their own. I enjoyed the pictures.
