Bucket list

The passing of Captain Phil made the DOR stop and check her "bucket list". She wanted to see if she was accomplishing anything on it. Well I loved Captain Phil and decided that maybe I needed to check my bucket list too. So I spent yesterday with my head poked in the barn window, checking out my buckets and making a list of them. I could see at least twenty of them. I started making plans for each one of those buckets. Three of the buckets should be filled with slice apples and carrots, two of the buckets should have apricots five buckets will be filled with sweet feed, five buckets will have wet cob (not the dry stuff), two buckets need to have peppermints, and three buckets should be filled with a mixture of berry treats and green apple horse buscuits. Now these buckets should appear in my pasture everyday for the rest of my life. I am not sure about why the rest of your life part is important in a bucket list, but the DOR says a bucket list is something you send your life completing.
I want you to know that I plan on sharing my twenty daily buckets with the rest of the horses at the ranch. That way we can all be working on a bucket list. I think it would be easier and more fun if the DOR owned as many buckets as are in the picture...yeah then we could do a lot of buckets each day, after all we want to be successful in dealing with buckets.
I have been informed by the DOR that we will have to discuss my plans for the bucket list. She seems to think that maybe my plan isn't a great idea. Something about too much sugar, bad nutrition, overfeeding, and fat horses. Alrighty then, she better not show me her list I will come up with amendments for hers list that she may not like either.
Enjoy your day and don't forget to hug your DOR!

WOW Jack that is a lot of buckets. I am afraid if you filled them with all that food you might expand your pretty spotted butt to the point that your lovely spots would be unrecognizable and I would not like that.

Aahahahaha, hilarious. Jack, you are one funny Appy. And seriously, where did all the buckets come from? Pink?

Don't tell Poco and Jaz if those buckets appear daily. They'll be packing their little backpacks and on their way to help you out, just in case they're too much for you to handle. Waste not, want not.

hehe! This makes me rethink my own Bucket List. Maybe mine is too complicated. Maybe I need to simplify and not fill my buckets with goals, but with treats instead. Now THAT is something to look forward, too!

Jack's got the right idea!
