Here is a photo of the ice crystals that have been forming on the fence the past few days. The temperature has been between 25-34 degrees when the DOR and Mushboy come out to give the old guys their mush. We don't have snow yet, but we are ready for when it gets here.
Shandi and I are very woolly and are still staying warm without having to wear a tarp. The DOR has all the tarps ready and has put them on all of us once to make sure they are properly adjusted. I killed one tarp last year....I hope the tarps live in fear of Jack the tarp killing horse. Run in fear tarps for your own safety stay away, save yourselves!
Enjoy your day and don't forget to hug your DOR!

Love the frost crystals - beautiful!
Neat crystals. Hope they stay on the fence and don't relocate to your whiskers and eye lashes Jack. Looks very chilly.
Way too frosty for this Cowgirl!!!
Yeah, you can keep that cold right there. We have had cold rain for 2 days. When I fed last night, the horses were wet, but were so toasty, they were steaming. It's still dark here and I can here them running and playing.
If Jaz, the fair weather pony were here, he'd be tarped. He's kind of a wuss, but we're not judging too harshly since he's under the weather with his strongyles.
