Yesterday evening a mourning dove's call could be heard. Somewhere off in the distance a reply came. The conversation lasted for twenty minutes. The little bird was high in a tree about a block from the DOR. The picture may not be too pretty, but it captures a little bird looking for love just before this Valentine's Day weekend.

I think it is a great picture. Love seeing him sitting in the branches.
Their calls always sound so plaintive. Guess that's why they are called mourning doves.
How sweet. Hopefully the little guy will find someone by Sunday!
I like listening to birds and trying to figure out where they are and what they're doing.
Great photo, doves have such a distinctive call nice to see them out enjoying the day.
